Course Summary: This evidence-based course provides an in-depth exploration of allyship and bias and their impacts on law enforcement and probation work. Participants will learn the definitions of implicit and explicit bias, the core principles of allyship, and how bias intersects with these principles. The course covers recognizing and addressing implicit bias in the workplace, fostering inclusive environments, and understanding the influence of bias in interactions with colleagues and clients. In this interactive session participants will develop practical skills for allyship while also exploring strategies for identifying and mitigating bias.
